Nationwide Consultant Kit
 
 

Client request: Build a campaign to heighten awareness for Nationwide's retirement consultants. They asked for a multi-layered campaign touching on a multitude of subjects. Because the information would be built upon over time the entire kit had to be modular.

Deliverables: Modular brochure kit with magnetic brochures and magnetic metal base and belly band. Follow-up mailer folder contains new brochures to add to the existing magnetic kit.
 
Outcome: Creation of a new style of kit which I designed, engineered and fabricated with my vendor and and successfully achieved a build-upon modular campaign. This project won the Print Excellence Award from the Printing Industries of Ohio for design and innovation.

Nationwide 401(k)
 

Client request: Design a campaign to explain Nationwide's 401(k) retirement offerings in a quick, clear and easy to understand way.
 
Deliverables: Folder brochure jacket with 5 informational inserts.

Outcome: A clear, scannable method of information delivery using infographics, direct language and simplified layouts. 

HRC Camapaign
 

Client request: Design an advertising campaign promoting and heightening awareness for the Nationwide/Human Rights Campaign Affinity partnership with a strong focus on cross-selling auto insurance.
 
Deliverables: Multi-sized ads, web banners, event banner, brochures, posters.

Outcome: Customized ad campaign that successfully combined awareness for the partnership as well as increasing auto insurance quotes for several months during the campaign.

Nationwide Supercycle

Client request: New ad and marketing campaign to up awareness for the sport bike segment of motorcycle riders. Specifically geared designs for the younger riders with a cool vibe.
 
Deliverables: Print ads, brochures, web banners, event banners and booth materials.

Outcome: Successful campaign with great customer feedback and increase in calls requesting information and buy-in on motorcycle policies.

Client request: Design templated catalogs to showcase a broad range of sportswear products for a wide variety of sports. Create a branded look to maintain consistency across all direct mailers.

Client request: Leverage the Nationwide NASCAR relationship for promotion of auto insurance.

Nationwide Financial

Client request: Create a multi-layered gift program to show appreciation for top level financial advisors with Nationwide.
 
Deliverables: Initial mailer presented as a gift with brochure insert with choice of appreciation gifts. 2 Follow-up reminder emails. Final gift box with customized letter.

Outcome: Top advisors provided very positive feedback expressing a feeling of appreciation and top quality treatment.

Sweet Options Cookie Box
 

Client request: Design a direct mailer to introduce the new Nationwide Freedom Series retirement options in a fun and high level way.
 
Deliverables: A direct mailer with 3 Cheryl's cookies. The mailer has 3 individual lid flaps to reveal each of the fiduciary options one by one and also reveal the cookies as well as the overall sweet options messaging.
 
Outcome: A highly successful program launch with great response rate. Feedback from recipients was positive and "delightfully surprised."
 
 

COSD Refresh Coasters

Client request: Create a mailer touch point for the County of San Diego Deferred Comp participants to remind them of their retirement options with the Plan. It was also requested that the recipient would want to keep the piece either on their desk or at home. They wanted the WOW factor on a tight budget.
 
Deliverables: This box style mailer includes a set of five coasters with San Diego landscape photos on one side and messaging about the plan benefits on the other. The last coaster has a recipe for a fun "Chill-out Chiller" smoothie. 
 
Outcome: This mailer was a hit with participants and won the first-place 2015 Eddy Award for special project design. The campaign not only reduced the number of participants from leaving the plan, it counted for an increase in participation over a four month period.

Nationwide IMG Speaker Box
 

Client request: Design a high level gift giveaway program to increase awareness of the Nationwide Investment Management Group's mutual funds. Request included packaging to be environmentally friendly.
 
Deliverables: Gift box with Nationwide branded bluetooth speaker. The box is 100% recyclable. To tie in the music theme, the music note pattern is actually the Nationwide Is On Your Side jingle.

Outcome: The project met great response from recipients and also met the clients' request for an environmentally friendly package.

Client request: Concept, design and develop an end of the year gift giveaway for top investment advisors.
 
Deliverables: Gift giveaway packaging including Nationwide branded photography book.
 
Outcome: A well received gift concept that tied in the messaging of New Year inspiration to a beautiful photography book.

Client request: Design a booth for the American Association of Pediatrics Convention for Abbott focusing on the new product launch for the Similac brand.
 
Deliverables: Oversized banners, table wraps, lcd screens, brochures, booth wraps and goodie bag giveaways.
 
Outcome: Highly successful product launch during the convention to medical professionals creating greater awareness. Comments were that the Abbott space stood out amongst its competitors.

Top Notch Vapor
 

Client request: Build out a brand for a new vapor shop launch. Originally the client wanted a vintage look using yellows and oranges. After explaining that the vape business should always have a clean modern feel I presented the new logo, color palette, layouts and designs.
 
Deliverables: Environmental design, logo creation, brand palette development, t-shirts, ads, web banners, external signage.

Outcome: The client was extremely pleased with the overall brand expression. The store has a clean and fresh look and feel and the customer response has been spectacular.

Client request: Design a new logo and packaging for an online beauty retail company with a feminine, fun, yet sophisticated flair.
 
Deliverables: Logo, multi-sized gift boxes, multi-sized gift bags.
 
Outcome: The client was extremely pleased with branding and packaging. The logo was so positively received, shirts and soft gifts were created based on the design.

Quaker Steak and Lube
 

Client request: Design an illustration for hard-core motorcycle enthusiasts for the very popular weekly Bike Nite at their expansive bar and grill which attracts nearly 1,000 bikers to each event.
 
Deliverables: Illustration used on t-shirts, tank tops, banners, table tents, and advertising.

Outcome: The client was extremely pleased with the illustration and graphics. They loved the use of motorcycle parts within the skull and felt it aligned with their brand and customer taste.

Client request: Design and illustrate graphics for adhesive eye patches for children being treated for amblyopia. Children sometimes find it difficult and embarrassing to have treatment with eye patches so they requested to make fun designs that kids would want to wear. Second request to design the package brand graphic and side graphics for therapy glasses.
 
Deliverables: 4 different illustration patterns,

Process: The client loved the designs and response from kids and parents using the product are overwhelmingly positive. "The other kids in child's class want to wear the patches too!"
